Dyslexia Talks 2026
We had a full house last Sunday (40 participants for am session and 50 participants for pm session) during the Dyslexia Talks by Bold and Brainbow USM at WhyteHouse HQ, Penang. Thanks Mr Jery Yeoh and WhyteHouse HQ for the sponsorship of venue and meals.
<Sister Melody> Special Screening
Thanks Principal Julia Ong from Sapling Care Center for inviting 15 BOLD EXCOs, staff, volunteers and friends (Lead by BOLD Vice President, Ms Chia Kien Eng) to a special screening of a meaningful film that shines a light on the lives of children with autism and their families- " Sisters' Melody " on 18 June 2026 at Butterworth Megamall Cineplex, Penang.

First Northern Reigion Rare Disease Symposium 2026
Bold is setting up a booth at 1st Northern Region Rare Disease Symposium 2026 at Convention 33, subbasement of Prangin Mall








World Autism Month
In conjuction with World Autism Month, Bold set up a booth to sell our We are Friends series and Mandarin Toolkit at UOW KDU Batu Kawan, Penang.

Mandarin Focus on Literacy (FOL) Training
5 days intensive training was held by BOLD Focus on Literacy team lead by our BOLD FOL Consultant, Mr Tan Kien Hooi and collaboration with Butterworth Tzu Chi Kindergarten to train 7 committed volunteers teachers at the kindergarten.








Play based Parenting Program Mar/Apr 2026
4 weeks BOLD-ACS Play based parenting program was started on 7 Mac 2026 with 10 children and their parents lead by Ms Chia Kien Eng and her team. The programme aims to help parents understand that play equals learning; encourage self-directed play; and enhance the child’s overall development: physical, social, emotional, cognitive, speech, language and communication skills.

Jom Bersama Lions and Komuniti
BOLD Focus on Literacy Consultant, Mr Tan Kien Hooi had a talk on "Understand Reading Challenges in Children and How Parents can Help" in Jom Bersama Lions and Komuniti event at Island 88.








Inclusion in Action : Be a Welcoming School for All
This event is jointly organised by Asia Community Service and Bold Association for Children with Special Needs Penang in collaboration with the National Early Childhood Intervention Council and SEGi College Penang. Various practitioners shared strategies on how teachers can support children with diverse needs in school.
