Unstructured Play Conference 2025

BOLD/ACS has always strongly believed in the play based approach to learning. Over the weekend Oct 25 & Oct 26, BOLD EXCO member Ms Chia and BOLD’s full time staff, Jess took time off to attend the “Unstructured Play” Conference, held at Chung Ling Private School, Penang.

After hearing from the various speakers which includes Prof Cheng, founder of Anji Play, we are very encouraged to know that we are on the right track as it endorses our objectives & beliefs on the benefits of learning through Play.

Play is

- a way for the child to explore and to experience

- to encourage self-directed and independent decisions/choice making

- to increase imagination

- self-motivating due to the elements of fun

- a way to create opportunities to practice resiliency and emotional regulation

- to enhance all aspects of development; cognitive, social emotional, physical and speech and language.
